Happy Valentine's Week!

Playgroup today was fantastic! We had a great turn out! Lots of moms (and a dad) got involved to make a whole bunch of fantastic crafts for our heart theme. The children had a huge variety to choose from.

For our story time today we read a story called Kittens about all the different ways we can express our emotions. Then we read a story called Mommy Loves Bunny. This was about various animals and how each kind of animal had a mommy to love it, and how children have someone to love them, too. The kids did an excellent job in helping me make the animal sounds, and then gave themselves a hug when we were all done.

We ended by singing Skin-a-ma-rink (Sharon, Lois and Bram's version). What a great way to start our day! I think the parent and tot drop in program is one of our favourite places to go during the week.

The children are making friends with other kids from the neighbourhood, and remembering them the next week when we return. I'm so glad we have a community centre in our area now.
