Signs of Spring Walk

This morning on our nature walk, we are looking for signs of spring. We inspected the trees nearby and found new twigs growing into branches, and new buds on the ends. We talked about the differences between last years branch growth, and the new growth. They noticed the hard bark of the old, and the smooth softer new twigs. The kids especially liked how trees grow new twigs both high and low and all over.
